April 2013

It's Not Just The FAA

It's Normandy.

That's right, the U.S. participation in this year's Normandy ceremonies has been reduced to one general officer, a color guard, and a bugler.  The Germans and the Dutch will be supporting the airborne operations, but no U.S. paratroopers will be taking part.

More than ever, I want to be there to document and record this year.  My Kickstarter did not get enough funds, but I have a new fundraiser going that will get me some funds, if not all.  For I do want to be there to record the veterans that are able to attend, to document this year, and share it with the world.

In addition to donations, looking for advertisers/sponsors who are interested in this and more.  Drop me a line if interested.

A Different Tasting

Savi1
Recently, I had the chance to attend a Whisky tasting hosted by the new Savi Provisions in Atlanta.  Savi Provisions is the latest venture from the owners of Savi Urban Markets, and the new venue is off to a great start with a very nice tasting room and a well-stocked wine and spirit store, which will soon be joined by a gourmet market.

The Intricate Richard-Dance of The Mentally Insane....

I had no idea when I was young that adults were going to be this foxtrotting dumb when I grew up.  It appears that the US Army has now demonstrated that they are capable, on the grandest of scales, of reaching a level of mental midgetry and political correctness that has no limit or bottom.

“The vendor etched those inscriptions on scopes without the Army’s approval,” Army spokesman Matthew Bourke told Fox in a written statement. “Consequently, the modified scopes did not meet the requirement under which the contract was executed.”

Bourke said the vendor (which is Trijicon--ed.) agreed to remove all Bible references on future deliveries.

“Some of these scopes had already been fielded,” Bourke explained. “Corrective measures were taken to remove inscriptions during the RESET/PRESET process in order to avoid a disruption in combat operations.”

Our enemies are laughing at us as they watch us dance around trying to kick their ass without hurting their feelings, using bad words or getting some gravy from their lemon chicken on their precious holy book; as they ambush our soldiers with explosives and gunfire.

So, following along with your idea there Mr. Big Army spokesman Matthew Bourke, in order to be intellectually consistent with this galactically stupid idea that religion should not be part of our operations overseas, or part of the identity of our army, or part of the values of our soldiers; and that soldiers deployed in combat operations should not be in possession of anything that makes reference to bible verses and by their extension, religious materials; I demand that DoD take the following action immediately:

Every Chaplain in every service located at every post, on every ship, at every airfield and forward base be redeployed or PCS'ed and upon arrival in CONUS, I want them immediately out processed and given an RE-4 re-enlistment code.  I also want every piece of religious material taken from every post and base here and abroad.  I want every chapel on every post and base torn down.  I want AR 670-1 changed so that every soldier is prohibited from carrying, wearing or being in possession of while in uniform and religious symbol or piece of religious jewelry; whether visible or not.  I want every pocket copy of the New Testament confiscated from all soldiers in theater.

If the giving of offense by religion and the possibility thereof needs to be removed from our rifle scopes, then all of these things, according to your definition, will "disrupt" combat operations and need to be removed from our forces.   In fact, we probably need to complete this little circle of ass-hattery you have got started here by ensuring that from this time forward, we only recruit atheists; you know, just to make sure.

And, I am not certain if you know, and this part comes from someone who has looked down a rifle at them, the Muslims aren't going to be more pissed at us because we wrote a bible verse on a rifle scope, and removing them isn't going to increase the likelihood of mission success, so what is your objective exactly with this order?

We are not talking about knocking down a burr on a firing pin that causes negligent discharges or making a work around for up armoring a truck, you are talking about removing part of a serial number on piece of US army equipment; which I think will get you some UCMJ action,

I know this is all about the stupid premise of not somehow making this a "crusade."  If it really was, we would have wrapped this up about 8 years back and had them all converted by now.

Mostly though, this kind of shiznit just makes our society look weak, as if we have no courage of our convictions to stand for what we believe in; and I understand how our enemies would get this impression, given the well documented love of America by our current Secretary of State, Occupant in Chief and the rest of the most inept and clueless administration in history.

If I were the King; I would have this inscribed on the upper receiver of every rifle in the inventory:

Blessed be the Lord, My Rock who trains my hands for battle and my fingers to war.

I say if you are going to inflame their passions, I want them to be on fire.

Veteran Tech Brigade - Helping Vets Find Jobs!

Veteran Tech Brigade Helps Veterans Find Meaningful Employment

Frustrated with the high unemployment rate among veterans and inadequate career transitioning services offered them, Veteran Tech Brigade is working with numerous commercial companies and government contracting firms to provide meaningful jobs and free pre-employment counseling to our military veterans and their spouses.

Attending military job fairs is the easy part. Any staffing agency can do that. Veteran Tech Brigade goes the extra mile to reach deep into the ranks and pull out the best and brightest military service members to place with client companies. Veteran Tech Brigade has established relationships with a large number of veteran education and training organizations to ensure they capture the cream of the crop as they exit the armed forces and hang up their boots.

The company’s specialty is IT personnel ranging from tier 1 help desk technicians to network architects with many of their candidates having government security clearances, but they're not limited to that.

"Currently we have eight fields that we specialize in; IT, CBRN, HR, Homeland Security, Logistics, Intelligence, Program Management and Business Development because so many veterans have experience in these areas," says Veteran Tech Brigade CEO Kelly Crigger, a retired US Army officer. "But we're always looking to expand into areas where veterans excel. The 'T' in VTB can be any technical field."

And now is the best time for recruiting with fiscal cliff skepticism and employment uncertainty growing because of recent government budget cuts that have led to layoffs and massive personnel movements. In times like these people looking for new work or wishing to change employers flock to companies like Veteran Tech Brigade.

"We add tremendous value to employers interested in hiring veterans in a number of ways. We remove the costly expenses of conducting background checks, attending job fairs, reading countless resumes and military evaluation reports while providing our clientele with grateful employees who help grow their business and remain onboard through thick and thin. Not only are military veterans, excellent disciplined employees, there are also a number of significant tax benefits companies can gain by hiring one.”

One company that has taken advantage of Veteran Tech Brigade’s opportunity to gain diligent military veterans for their employee base is U.S. Gas & Electric, a leading energy supplier in numerous states. Not only has USG&E established a plan to hire military veterans and their spouses, but they’ve also developed specific energy programs for military veterans to reduce their natural gas and electricity expenses simply by enrolling through the company’s online site at www.USGandE.com/FriendsandFamily and entering promotional code: VETERAN.

“As our company and employment opportunities continue to grow significantly, we plan to hire a number of military veterans,” stated Doug Marcille, Director, CEO and President of USG&E. “Our current team members who hold a military background have shown tremendous dedication and we could not be more pleased by their quality of work. We are thrilled that Veteran Tech Brigade has been created as we will now have a much easier and more cost-effective way to employ even more military veterans and their spouses.”

Business owners or executives interested in hiring veterans should contact Veteran Tech Brigade at isupportfreedom(at)veterantechbrigade(dot)com and for more information about Veteran Tech Brigade, please go to www.veterantechbrigade.com and/or Like, Follow and Connect via the following social media outlets.

Duffel Blog Makes the W.S.J.

Congrats to our friends over at the Duffel Blog for making the big time.  And for being responsible for filling my inbox with irate emails demanding that we here at B5 take action over one of their stories...

General (ret) Mattis agrees:

..."The lads have a well-tuned sense of humor and convincingly imaginative 'reporting' that bode well for a country that could use some laughs," said Marine Gen. James "Mad Dog" Mattis, who just retired as head of U.S. Central Command. "I think the writers know that we need to stop taking ourselves so seriously."...

9th Annual Pat's Run to honor the memory of Ranger Patrick Tillman

From the 75th Ranger Regiment:

Nine years ago today, April 22, 2004, Cpl. Patrick D. Tillman, was fatally wounded when his Ranger unit came under fire during combat operations in southeastern Afghanistan. After he was medically evacuated from the scene, he was pronounced dead by U.S. officials at approximately 11:45 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

He was born in California on Nov. 6, 1976.

In the prime of a stellar football career, which included four years at Arizona State University on athletic scholarship and four years as a defensive back with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, Pat Tillman walked away from a multiyear, multimillion dollar football contract to serve his country as a Soldier in the U.S. Army.

Tillman volunteered for duty with the Army in May 2002, requesting to serve as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment — the U.S. military’s premier light infantry fighting force.

Hoping it was Right Wing Whitey

David_Sirota_2This is a picture of liberal ass-clown David Sirota. Nearly every time there is a horrific incident these days, one of these Sirota-like wankers tries to pin it on the Tea Party, Republicans, talk radio or in this case White American males, period. A class, it should be noted, that includes this waste of human protoplasm as well.

It stems from a couple of things, one of which is pure projection. True progressives are some of the biggest haters around. They absolutely cannot tolerate dissenting opinions and demonize anyone who has the unmitigated gall to fail to toe the politically correct line. The other problem is a lack of actual violence committed by those they claim are such dangerous haters. So they try to coopt reality to fit their tortured worldview. Sirota's shameful screed is a Pulitzer-quality example of this pathology. Writers don't always choose their headlines, but this one is a perfect fit for his weak venom.

Let's hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a White American.

Really, why is that David? Is there possibly a noble sentiment buried somewhere in that horrible wish? Nope, just hateful rhetoric that is devoid of even the patina of facts or rational thought. He starts with some nonsens about responses to mass shootings.

This has been most obvious in the context of recent mass shootings. In those awful episodes, a religious or ethnic minority group lacking such privilege would likely be collectively slandered and/or targeted with surveillance or profiling (or worse) if some of its individuals comprised most of the mass shooters. However, white male privilege means white men are not collectively denigrated/targeted for those shootings — even though most come at the hands of white dudes.

The number of mass shootings is thankfully small, and there is actually a subset of them that were committed by white dudes. But a more accurate description of these perpetrators would be crazy motherf***ers. Crazy, like straight jacket crazy, like should be in an asylum crazy. Their whiteness is not a causative factor, nor a cause they were rallying around. They were just bats**t, period. That Nazi punk who shot the Sikhs may have had a white cause, but he still fits the too crazy to know that SIkhs aren't Muslims category. The rest were sick in the head. Timothy McVeigh thought we had aliens hidden in Area 51, Jared Loughner worshiped at a demonic shrine in a garden shed, the Colorado movie loser dressed up as the Joker. These are not foot soldiers in a white male collective that is not held responsible for their actions. They are pathetic refuse of a society that doesn't deal well with the lunatic fringe.

Next Sirota claims white nuttahs get lone wolf status, but melanin-enhanced killers are used to tar their entire race and religion.

Likewise, in the context of terrorist attacks, such privilege means white non-Islamic terrorists are typically portrayed not as representative of whole groups or ideologies, but as “lone wolf” threats to be dealt with as isolated law enforcement matters. Meanwhile, non-white or developing-world terrorism suspects are often reflexively portrayed as representative of larger conspiracies, ideologies and religions that must be dealt with as systemic threats.

I would like him to show me these white, non-Islamic terrorists who are getting a free pass. First of all, they don't even exist. McVeigh was a terrorist, but mainly a rebel without a clue. Eric Rudolph, the Atlanta Olympics bomber, was an anti-abortionist and his actions led to a concerted effort to portray the pro-life movement as violent. But who else is this idiot talking about? The only other white, non-Islamic terrorists I can think of are the Baader-Meinhof, Red Army sh**theads from the 70s and newsflash buddy, they were on your team. Left wing butthead wannabe revolutionaries gonna paint the world Commie Red using the blood of the man (white oppressor variety). And aside from that gaping hole in his logic-free scribblings, let's see how many times the two "radical Muslim" losers who bombed Boston got called Lone Wolves.

My search for Tsarnaev lone wolves showed- About 28,700 results. Major Hasan (radical Muslim Ft. Hood shooter) & lone wolf got 1,880,000 results. So who is getting the free pass here? There is a group of like-minded individuals who all share one characteristic, and that characteristic is the one thing that gets ignored. I think Mr. Sirota would be better served whinging about Radical Muslim Terrorist Privilege. Too bad that clashes with his ideology, the facts be damned.

If recent history is any guide, if the bomber ends up being a white anti-government extremist, white privilege will likely mean the attack is portrayed as just an isolated incident — one that has no bearing on any larger policy debates.

Sorry for yet another false alarm generated in the deranged fever swamps of your own mind David.

It will probably be much different if the bomber ends up being a Muslim and/or a foreigner from the developing world. As we know from our own history, when those kind of individuals break laws in such a high-profile way, America often cites them as both proof that entire demographic groups must be targeted, and that therefore a more systemic response is warranted.

When these kinds of individuals break laws? How about, when another member of the same insane death cult wantonly slaughters innocents to further the cause of worldwide submission to their religious oppression? In that case, which this was....again!....I wholeheartedly support a systemic response to a demographic that has self-identified, radical young Muslim men spouting hateful rhetoric, and let's not forget the bearded old wankers egging them on. Those two demographics have asked for it, and we should oblige them with the full scrutiny and boot-in-the-ass-iny they have earned.

Beta male liberals have their own flavor of guilt and it leads them to these bouts of self-flagellation, which Sirota and others exempt themselves from. They are the moral superiors who denounce the dead white male dominated oppressive culture while basking in its comforting safe embrace. Yeah well as a member of the sheepdog sector of that culture, you are welcome and F**k You as well. Western culture, as exemplified by the United States, is the greatest good that has yet energed on this planet and sad as it may make you David, white males were front and center in making that happen. That is not to say there weren't and aren't some horrific and heinous things done by the same folks, but I think a fair reading shows continual progress in a positive way.

So wake up and pay attention you jackass, America doesn't need to hear the hate-filled buffoonery of white males like you. You make the rest of us look bad.

Red Sox player says it well

A sentiment felt by all Americans.

OrtizBoSox

The Red Sox paid an emotional tribute to the people of Boston this afternoon in a moving pregame ceremony at Fenway Park, the first time since last Monday's deadly terrorist attacks that killed three and left more than 180 wounded.

Designated hitter David Ortiz exclaimed 'this is our f***ing city' to rapturous cheers, and some tears, after a moving video, encapsulating the horror and heroism of the past few days, played on the big screen.

Proud Bostonians could be seen watching the game, many of them clutching American flags. The city used the significant sporting event to honor the victims and offer gratitude to the police, firefighters and medical personnel as well as strangers who risked their lives to save others after the senseless attacks.
