Daily Classified Campaign Ad

I am absolutely stunned by the shamelessness of this President and the lengths he is willing to go to try and win another four year golfing vacation. At least this time he had the balls to actually declassify the national security info he is releasing. I bet if you could see the metadata on the original documents they have David Axelrod's greasy pawprints all over them. So let's read about some more shite we should not be reading about. But first let's hear the mealy-mouthed attempt to justify this shameless electioneering.

Three administration officials who briefed The Associated Press on the decision to declassify the existence of the military's counterterrorism campaigns in Yemen and Somalia said Obama determined that the time was ripe.

Yeah ripe is right, like the stench from a DOA economy left to moulder in the Summer sun as Barry O flits from Hollywood to Manhattan for more fundraisers than the previous four Presidents combined. OK back to the campaign memo.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House is partially lifting the lid of secrecy on its counterterrorism campaign against al-Qaida in Yemen and Somalia by formally acknowledging for the first time that it is conducting lethal attacks in those countries.

I already questioned the timing, but that is not really fair since saying this is related to the election would assume there is a time when Obama is not in his sole role of Campaigner in Chief.

The decision by President Barack Obama to declassify the existence of the counterterror actions in those two countries amounts an incremental move toward greater openness about the use of U.S. force overseas. It does not reflect any change in the intensity or basic character of the U.S. campaign to defeat al-Qaida.

Oh STFU! it represents an exponential increase in the blatant misappropriation of our country's strategic interests to bolster the plummeting reputation of the least-competent President we have endured in my lifetime.

Under the War Powers Resolution of 1973, the White House is required to report to Congress every six months on U.S. combat operations abroad. Friday's report includes a secret attachment with classified details, which was not released publicly.

Which is where SECRET freaking operations belong FFS! If Barry wants to rally Americans around his campaigning colors then maybe he should have the integrity to ask for a declaration of war from Congress for these operations. If not, then they are properly considered covert and should not be trotted out to the press as a distraction from the fact that he has taken the American economy off a cliff in a Thelma and Louise death ride.

Vote, vote early, vote often!
