Rachel Maddow tells an extremist lie

Yeah I went on her show and played nice. I tend to do a lot of that kind of outreach, always have and always will. I don't like to preach to the choir and I love to get inside the other tent and blaspheme. All that aside, this statement by Maddow is a disgrace and she needs to publicly apologize and maybe take a valium and a deep breath.
And yet here are the facts around this manufactured issue.
That Stockman received the fax after the bombing was also reported in a June 22, 1995 column in the Houston Press by Jim Simmon, titled "God, Guns and Kombucha: Is Steve Stockman a committed crackpot, or just a hapless goofball?"As its headline suggests, this was hardly a puff piece favorable toward Stockman. Nonetheless, Simmon wrote --
Contrary to suggestions in some earlier reports, Stockman's office had received the fax after the bombing and promptly passed it on to the FBI. (Ironically, the initial misunderstanding about the fax was propagated by the National Rifle Association, Stockman's chief patron.)
Well she has to deicde either to slink away into the fever swamps of the left where statements like that bear no scrutiny or punishment, or she must repent. It was a terrible slander and any decent human being would be horrified to have done this to an undeserving person. So what will it be Rachel?
