The Last Army Diver...
Saturday, June 06, 2009
Its certainly a rare breed in 'normal' times- divers who work for the Army. In the days of WWII, when nearly every specialty we know today was being formed and tested, it was even rarer. But, here he is, living in Littleton, Colorado, and the Denver Post has written an excellent article talking about him.
I'd love to meet him and record his stories. Photographing mushroom clouds at Bikini? Mined harbors off the coast of France? COB6, I think you've met your match...
Bless all of our D-Day remembrances.
