Michelle Obama's "Hard Knock Life"

I will never demean the difficulties working women, especially single mothers deserted by useless men face but Michelle Obama tries to use the audacity of spoiled, racial-preference using women as an example. She has led a privileged life, but holds all her advantages against those who granted them to her. She is a piece of work.

Barack understands the struggles working women and families face every day, because the women he loves most in the world have gone through it.

Poor, poor Michelle forced to attend Princeton and Harvard because discrimination against women and blacks stopped her from attending decent schools. Then she had to take well-paid jobs doing community work, leading to her role now as a hospital mouthpiece at more than a cool quarter mil. Now I don't begrudge her the cushy job, heck Barack got the hospital a few million in earmarks so she obviously earned her keep, and there are plenty of folks riding lofty position based on degrees from these places and their connections.

I just think she should STFU about her supposed difficulties.

Byron York reports on her whinging about being rich and privileged to a bunch of actual working-class, struggling women. Tool.

“It’s a constant sense of guilt,” Obama, dressed simply in a blue sweater with a triple strand of pearls, tells the women of her own dilemma as a working mother. “It’s guilt, feeling guilty all the time....But not everyone has a close relative living nearby. And not everyone can afford to keep it all together, especially here in Muskingum County, where, according to the census, the median household income in 2004 was $37,192, below both the Ohio and national average. Out of that, there’s the mortgage. And child care. Health care. Education. Lessons. “I know we’re spending — I added it up for the first time — we spend between the two kids, on extracurriculars outside the classroom, we’re spending about $10,000 a year on piano and dance and sports supplements and so on and so forth,” Mrs. Obama tells the women. “And summer programs. That’s the other huge cost. Barack is saying, ‘Whyyyyyy are we spending that?’ And I’m saying, ‘Do you know what summer camp costs?’”

OMG can you imagine the horror of $10 k piano lessons and summer camps?
