The Supreme Court today attempted to interpret the simple phrase "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". You would have thought this was an uncomplicated endeavor, but in the end only 5 out of 9 of our smartest legal smarty pantses managed to get it right. That's scary as hell. Who the hell are these people and what planet do they live on.
Justice Stephen Breyer wrote a separate dissent in which he said, "In my view, there simply is no untouchable constitutional right guaranteed by the Second Amendment to keep loaded handguns in the house in crime-ridden urban areas."
Actually you simpering fool, there is no language in that document that allows a pisssant brainiac to disarm e people living in crime-ridden areas. Honest citizens who are unfortunate enough to live in crime-ridden areas should be issued hand guns by the government along with an apology for failing to keep the peace. What complete detachment from reality it takes to form such a naive idea and then to put it forth as the wisdom of one of our 9 best and brightest. What is wrong with Souter, Breyer, Ginsburg and Stevens? What does it say when on such a fundamental and simple issue that 4 of 9 justices are totally wrong? I'm stunned. I am very pleased that the decision went the correct way, but they just screwed the pooch on Boumediene and now personal dislike of the death penalty vests the power to undo it in the hands of 5 squishy nerds.
I don't want weak-kneed nerds in charge of this country and we are one Supreme Court justice away from just such an Ivory Tower debacle. The liberals on the court have no problem at all expanding the interpretation of free speech to the furthest possible stretch of it's language and yet do intellectual gymnastics trying to avoid the simple language and perfectly clear intent of the Founders on the second amendment. They wanted the people to have guns, first for defense of home and family, second to kill animals to eat and third in case we decided we had enough of our government and decided to overthrow it. They did, and they foresaw that possibility. Get enough liberals on the court and they could make America intolerable.
Gun rights have at least been enshrined as the belonging to every American individually and the right of the State to forcibly disarm us has been put on hold. But don't let your guard down and keep an eye on all these do gooders, and vote Maverick.
