The Armageddon of Armor Geddon

Lieutenant Neil Prakash is shutting down Armor Geddon due to his own OPSEC concerns (his command has always been aware of his blog).   No one writes combat action quite like Neil.  It's very unfortunate, but I certainly understand it.  I even expected it.  More will be shutting down in the future.

Neil is a smart officer with a giant career in front of him.  He was awarded the Silver Star for valor.  He's hilarious.  He so obviously enjoys leading troops and blowing @#$% up.  He knows what's important.  And he's shutting his blog down because of the big picture, not with anger or regret.  While he's lived a lot of life in a relatively short amount of time, he's going to do more great things.  I'm certain of it.

One reason I count this whole blogging phenomenon a success is that I've been able to get know people like Neil.  He's someone you never would have known if he didn't have a blog or if Sarah hadn't encouraged him to record his year in Iraq.

So, go on over to Armor Geddon and wish the L.T. good luck.

I'm sure that it won't be the last you've heard of Neil Prakash.
