USAF Staff Sergeant Travis Crosby - Someone You Should Know
Tuesday, May 24, 2005
U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Travis Crosby, Tactical Air Controller, was embedded with the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, during the original push into Baghdad in early April, 2003 - the Thunder Run. He found himself fighting enemy forces as close as ten feet away - while continuing to call in air support - which earned him the silver star.
Here's the video interview about the engagement (video produced by Tech Sergeant George Maurer, American Forces Network Iraq).
