What's The Lifespan Of A Hamas Leader?

Oh, boy, is this going to be interesting to watch...A friend of mine is trying to bet me $20 that this guy won't last more than a month.

Official: Hamas does not need internal election

GAZA, March 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Islamic resistance movement Hamas senior leader Sa'eed Seyam announced on Wednesday that there is no need for an internal election in Hamas after Abdel Aziz Ranteesi was chosen to be the leader of the movement in the Gaza Strip.
He said that "it was natural that Ranteesi would automatically become the leader of the movement in the Gaza Strip as he was a deputy to Sheikh Yassin."

Here's what I think happened:

Hamas Sergeant-At-Arms: "All those wishing to assume the mantle of spiritual leader of Hamas, please step forward."

Everyone except Ranteesi takes a step back.

Hamas SAA: "Thank you, Sheik Ranteesi for volunteering. Allah Akbar!"

Ranteesi starts mumbling something about "not volunteering".

Who the hell would want that job? A jelly-donut in Michael Moore's kitchen has more of a chance of making it than this guy...Here's why:

Security sources: Israel will target entire Hamas leadership
JOSEF FEDERMAN, Associated Press Writer

Hamas chose hard-liner Abdel Aziz Rantisi on Tuesday to replace the militant group's founder who was assassinated by Israel a day earlier.

Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and his security chiefs decided late Monday night to try to kill the entire Hamas leadership, without waiting for another terror attack, security sources said.

Israel's police minister, Tzahi Hanegbi, warned that "anyone who is involved in terrorism in Gaza or the West Bank ... knows after yesterday's assassination that no one is immune."...

I don't necessarily agree with every policy that Israel has regarding the Palestinians, but this one on Hamas is a good one. Take 'em all out. Every last mass-murdering one of them All I want to hear is "Tango Down!", over and over again...
