Jonn says it better than I can, so go check out this post on the death of rule of law.  It may be the death of a thousand cuts, but in my opinion this is one of those cuts -- and a deep and dangerous one.  Nothing can be done to rectify the gross miscarriage of justice done; but, things can be done to prevent future wounds by removing this person from the bench.

NOTE:  The judge is a veteran, and I find it beneath contempt that he has so blatantly foresworn his oath of service as well as his oath as a judge.  It is my opinion that he is not only unfit for the office he holds, but is unworthy to wear any uniform -- even that of a dog catcher -- in the United States.
