NY Times outs poseur who wants to be a Senator

Posted By Uncle Jimbo • [May 17, 2010]

Hold on to your ass Fred, as I cite the NY Times approvingly. They have a piece pointing out that the Connecticut Atty. General who is running for the Senate also happens to be a lying POS poseur, and he's a Democrat. Have the end times come? Anyhow.

At a ceremony honoring veterans and senior citizens who sent presents to soldiers overseas, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut rose and spoke of an earlier time in his life.

“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat who is now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.

It's not just once, they have this dung beetle talking about how Vietnam vets caught abuse on their return or were forgotten, as if he was one. Now he was in the military, but he did everything he could to make sure he missed the war. Now he is trying to smear the blood of his betters on himself and that is disgraceful.

In 2003, he addressed a rally in Bridgeport, where about 100 military families gathered to express support for American troops overseas. “When we returned, we saw nothing like this,” Mr. Blumenthal said. “Let us do better by this generation of men and women.”

OK buddy you are busted and it's time to take your ass back home and stay out of our sight. I know quite a few Vietnam vets starting with my old man and his two full tours who might not take kindly to you riding their coat tails. The nice thing is he is running to replace another loser Chris Dodd and this damn sure better be enough to throw that seat to the other team. Uh.... buh bye.
