Shep Smear: Making Your Thoughts Heard
In my earlier post And A Setback in the Information War I said to stop writing Fox/Shemp Smith as all such e-mails would do is feed an ego that needs to be on a diet and translate into ratings for the suits. Besides, they hurt his widdle feewins, made his lip twemble, and almost made him cry over how mean and threatening you were for calling him on his smear.
Want to do something that will make a difference???
I suggested that you could post a list of advertisers and contact them, as that would get action where nothing else would. Thanks to Marine 6, we now have such a list and some contact info has been developed.
Keep in mind that some of these are local advertisers and others are national, and none had any idea about what was to happen. To that end, rather than coming in with your mad at Shemp, thank them for their time and tell them about Shemp's saying that Napolitano had been right because a WWII veteran and professional nut somehow proved the point that vets from Iraq and Afghanistan were dangerous extremists. You might point them at the excellent post at the Mudville Gazette with video links so they can see for theselves. Then ask them if they agree with such broad brush comments about our veterans and current serving troops? If they don't, they might want to let Fox know that, and make sure that their customers know where they stand. It might not even hurt to point out that they might get better audience and demographics on Cavuto or other Fox shows instead...
