Shelle Michaels from Blog World Expo sent us the note that Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta was Killed in Action in Afghanistan. He and two other soldiers, Sgt. Robert M. Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III, were also killed when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an IED on March 15th. Christopher survived long enough to be medevaced, but later succumbed to his wounds at Bagram.
Sergeant Abeyta maintained a blog called The Chronicle of Butters!
The Abeyta family is requesting donations made, not to Christopher, but to the family of Specialist Cain who leaves behind a wife and two children.
