The Blame Game - AP and the Dems

Posted By Blackfive

I've tried to back off some of the most recent press political love fest with President-Elect Obama.  I have served four Presidents - 3 Republican and 1 Democrat.  At the end of the day, President-Elect Obama will be President Obama and our Commander in Chief.

Now, success in Iraq hinges on President Obama?

But that's not all.

The cover up of the financial crisis is in full spin mode, too.  Blatantly trying to lay the crisis at the feet of President Bush in order to give lift to the Obama administration, the AP wrote an opinion piece in the guise of an article.

Ace of Spades has the AP's article that essentially blames President Bush for the current banking crisis because in 2006 someone warned the White House that mortgages would be in default in massive numbers.  That someone lost her job before pointing out this warning.

Slublog at Ace's place outlines the arguments and counter-arguments about the banking crisis (including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae's roles in it, as well).

Slublog didn't include this video, which has the Clinton Administration officials and President-Elect Obama's own words to describe how we started down this path.  Listen to what they say and judge for yourself.

Don't let spin-meisters revise history.  Our schools' history books are bad enough as is without more "change".
