Rehab of the Clintonista Foreign Policy

The press has begun the process of rehabilitating the horrendous track record of the Clinton foreign policy team. This is necessary as they will now be in charge again under the sage & experienced Tuzla dasher herself Hillary.

In a CNN tongue bath, Richard Holbrooke is trotted out to discuss "Bombs for Peace" or how his cunning plan of bombing a few things won the war there. I  mean that is what happened, right? ( I just heard the TankerBabe lose her mind). The article does at least mention that Holbrooke's plan to bomb them to the peace negotiations was ignored by the Clintonians for several years while people were dying in bunches. But the overall tone seems designed to convince us that the Clinton team was engaged and willing to be forceful. What a freakin' joke.

Holbrooke, who had served President Jimmy Carter as an assistant secretary of state,

offered his recommendation to Bill Clinton's advisers during the 1992 presidential campaign: Direct use of force against the Bosnian Serbs.

"I took a stand that I believed was correct," Holbrooke said. "I didn't think it was so controversial."

When Clinton embraced a get-tough policy, Holbrooke was optimistic. In the back of Holbrooke's mind, there was a lingering question: "Will he do as president what he said he would do as a candidate?"

He's a politician you dolt, of course he won't. Look at the Obama buying fleets of buses for all the people and ideas that have to go now.

Under mounting criticism in the press, Clinton asked Holbrooke in May 1994 to leave his post in Germany and return to the White House to help with Bosnia.  But Holbrooke and others in the administration who advocated force would nonetheless see Bosnia's Muslims endure another 15 months of heartbreak and death -- including the slaughter of 8,000 at Srebrenica.

So you are saying "Clinton lied", and then dithered for how long?

After a Serb mortar attack on a Sarajevo market in August 1995, Clinton pulled the trigger. With the Europeans on board, U.S. and allied planes began attacking Bosnian Serb positions.

So almost three years of ethnic cleansing, slaughter and genocide go on before Billy Jeff finds the stones to bomb a few anti-aircraft sites? Wow that is the kind of leadership we need in this dangerous world.

Honestly, having the press begin creating a BS myth about the effective Clinton foreign policy will work to Hilly and the county's advantage as she attempts to deal with all the bad actors around the world. Although in the end, I think an Obamaian appeasement, can't we all just bask in the glow, sweetness and light, mentality will doom any real progress. But who knows, I mean maybe the Mullahs will be flummoxed by the Iron Cankle and lose interest in nukes, maybe Putin will cease re-assembling the Soviet Union when Hillary looks deep in his soul, and perhaps all the barbaric savages who put their women in potato sacks, stone homosexuals to death, and enjoy a nice evening of shooting up hotel lobbys will just chill the f**k out. But I doubt it.

So revisionize away there MSM. Scrub all that gunk and filth off the Clinton's legacy and let's send them forth again for some formalized lying in formal wear.
