Soldiers in Afghanistan React to the Election

Posted By Blackfive

First, and this may be the first time I've ever done this, go read this piece at the HuffPo.

The Other Side of Paradise

It's by Scott Kesterson who we have whole-heartedly supported in the past (we first admired his work a few years ago as an embed with Canadian troops fighting the Taliban).  Scott wrote a The Other Side of Paradise Part 2 also.

And once you've read that post by Scott, go and read his reaction to some of the folks at Bouhammer's Aghan Blog where Scott was allowed to guest post.

A Moment to Reflect

I think it's important to note that not every soldier feels the way that the soldiers expressed themselves in Scott's pieces.

In the email I've gotten, the language usage has been much more colorful.
