A Quick Request
A friend of mine, call him "T" for now, is starting two days of heart procedures today. Today prepares him for a heart assist pump to be installed for tomorrow, and the pump will help doctors decide if he will be a candidate for a heart transplant. Frankly, I fear the odds are against him; but, then again, they have been all his life. To give you an idea, when he ran into his former pediatrician a few years back, the startled doctor basically said "You're still alive?!?!" He's beaten the odds before not just in living, but in doing as well. Any thoughts, prayers, or well wishes for him and his family would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: For all of the unqualified thoughts, prayers, whatever-you-do's that were offered: Thanks! "T" came through both days. Oddly enough, I was more worried in some ways about the first day, as when they did essentially the same procedure a few weeks ago (when this all sorta-started), he essentially crashed and things were not good for a while. The last word as of yesterday evening was that the pump was in, he was closed up, and they are going to keep him unconscious for 24 hours.
