Seven Years On.....
I wanted everyone to see that this is the most important photo to me from the attack on our country 7 years ago.
Not the towers collapsing. Not the airplanes crashing into towers. I prefer to remember this day with this photo.
This photo is not just three men raising Old Glory in the breeze on that mournful day. It was about giving a giant middle finger to those that would mean us harm.
It was about telling our enemies that you may have sucker punched Lady Liberty from the back of the room, but when she got up off her knee and wiped the blood from her nose, she was going to stomp a mudhole in your pah-too-ty and then River Dance it dry.
Many generations from now, The sons of my grandsons will know in our family tradition what this flag means to their great-great-great grand-daddy did after that day and why we fly it in the best of times and why we serve our country.
And why we especially fly it in times of strife and step up to serve in times of danger...
Take some time today to think back to that day and reflect and never forget.....
