An Interview With Michael Z. Williamson, Part 2

Posted By Laughing_Wolf

This is part of a series of interviews sponsored by Baen Books with some of today's top military science fiction writers.

As I noted yesterday, the audio bites. This interview took place even before Baen Books was onboard as a sponsor, before the new Sennheiser wireless lapel microphone arrived, and before my camera went into the shop to fix a previously undetected problem with the built in shotgun microphone (among other issues). The reason for the rush, and not waiting, was that Mike and his family graciously took time from a very hectic pre-deployment schedule to meet with me not long before he left. I've done what I can, but the audio is low and there is some occasional wind noise. My thanks to Mike and his family once again for doing this, and to his wife Gail (who also does combat camera) for operating the camera.

Michael Z. Williamson will never be president, but he is full of Sharp Pointy Things, interesting thoughts, his own unique take on his current deployment, and more. His books include Freehold, Better to Beg Forgiveness, The Weapon, Confirmed Kill, Targets of Opportunity, The Scope of Justice, and -- with John Ringo -- The Hero.

Stay tuned for Part 3, Part 1 is here, and the introduction to the series is here.
