An Interview With Tom Kratman, Part 5 (Final for Now)

Posted By Laughing_Wolf

This is the first in a series of interviews sponsored by Baen Books with some of today's top military science fiction writers.

In this final segment, Tom talks about the new generation of military science fiction writers and has a message for the troops as well.

Tom Kratman has had a very interesting life. He began reading at a very early age (listen to find out how young), enlisted in the Army, earned a college degree and went Mustang, became a lawyer, and was saved twice by Saddam Hussein. Along the way, he was not only Airborne, he also picked up some interesting things including a Combat Infantry Badge and a Ranger Tab.

Today, he writes such books as A Desert Called Peace, A State of Disobedience, Carnifex, Caliphate, Yellow Eyes, and Watch on the Rhine.

Stay tuned for the Final Part of the interview next Monday. Part 1 can be found here, Part 2 here, Part 3 here, Part 4 here and the introduction to the series is here.
