Did Russia just blow up?

BREAKING NEWS:  Georgia cabinet minister says Georgian troops are in control of the capital of South Ossetia, four Russian planes shot down; Russian military officials claiming 10 "peacekeepers" killed, 30 wounded in fighting.

To call this bad news is a major understatement.

The Russian military has invaded another country supposedly to protect ethnic Russians.

Ever heard that before?  See Czechoslavakia circa 1938!

This is not the ethnic internal strife that Georgia experienced back in 1992-94 or a border skirmish that happens periodically.  Russia has launched major armored columns and war planes.

Stay tuned folks.

UPDATE:  Georgian Defense Minister now says that over 1000 people killed and the number is climbing.
