There is a book being put together about the war experiences of soldiers in Afghanistan (from the Soviet invasion to now).  This is an opportunity for Afghan (Operation Enduring Freedom) vets to have their stories made a permanent part of History:

SOUND OFF: If you’re a military veteran who served in Afghanistan then we want to hear from you. Join us as we bring your voice and the powerful perspectives of the sea, ground and air campaigns in the War on Terror to the world. Sound off in a new book chronicling the Allied campaign and more by emailing your story and pictures to Afghanvoices@gmail.com by August 31, 2008
