Godspeed Tony Snow

Tony Snow died early this morning.  The husband and father of three was 53.

I had the fortune to be with milbloggers at the White House on Tony's last day on the job as White House Press Secretary - he joined us when we talked with the President.  He gave up an awful lot to help the White House (and we wrote here several times about how much he was needed).  I knew some of the things he was going through and I was able to shake his hand and tell him "Thank you for being there for us."

And, he humbly replied by introducing us to Dana Perino and saying, "She is too.  She's here for you now."

A class act with sharp wit, keen intellect, and a huge heart - we'll miss him greatly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Godspeed Tony.
