The Longest Day

June 6, 1944. If you don't know this date, you should. Start with this post, and follow the links. Find the movie "The Longest Day" and watch it if you can.

Most of all, remember that on this day thousands of Allied troops went ashore to liberate Europe; and, all too many of them now rest eternally near that shore.
