I always loved water jumps. Even the time we jumped into Chiemsee in the dead of winter.
Water jumps are great because you avoid that nasty "delta V" at the end of the jump. Just a nice "splashdown". The packing tray, web gear and rucksack hold a lot more air than one would think, so you hit the water and immediately bob up like a cork.

Great picture. I never had the chance to do a water jump back in the day. Back then we used WWII type parachutes.
