Real personal consequences in Iraq
I don't send people to the LA Times very often with a positive referral, especially to a piece by a Newsweek reporter about the consequences of the War, but I am. The reporter's fiance was murdered in Iraq in 2005 and he writes about his brother's unit during the Surge. It is a respectful, painful look at the costs of incurred and a reminder that we all know too well, good people are hurt and killed. We must ensure it leads to a better world.
