Patti Patton-Bader on Today Show

(h/t Mrs. Greyhawk) An amazing lady is getting some well-deserved recognition, as the Today Show will have Patti Patton-Bader on as one of the semi-finalists in the America's Favorite Mom contest.

Soldiers' Angels founder Patti Patton Bader will appear on NBC's Today show on May 5, during the nine o'clock hour. She has been selected as a semi-finalist in NBC/Teleflora's America's Favorite Mom contest. Votes based on her appearance on the show with two other military moms will determine whether she moves on to the final round.

Keep tabs on this as we will, although she doesn't need to win this contest to prove her value . Soldier's Angels is an incredible group and she has inspired so many people to help the troops she deserves kudos from all of us.

Patti gave me my SA pin personally at the last mlblog conference, where I also met Jeff. I had wanted to thank her for the generous donation SA made to VaTech after the incident last April, and also thank her for taking care of one of my adopted soldier's children.
She absolutely deserves this award, and while Matt is correct, I think she should win.

Patti is flying all day to New York today so that she can get publicity and awareness of Soldiers Angels on NBC The Today Show May 5th. If anyone wants to vote for her they can May 5th only from 9 AM - 9 PM Eastern ST at http://www.nbc.com/Americas_Favorite_Mom/ so she promote Soldiers Angels on a national TV show. You can vote 10 times...then she flies to Boston and meets with Dunkin Brands on a duel SA/DDonuts coffee stations etc. idea. Patti wants to put free coffee stations in all the waiting rooms of all 150 VA Hospitals (about a million dollars a year in supplies) then she flies home from Boston to Los Angeles Tuesday Night.
