Feingold raises bar for cluelessness

My Senator, who I did vote for since he was inevitable and it aggravates lefties, is a Muppet. And speaking as Jim Hanson I have some authority on this. He is a near perfect example of why I fear for our country under a Democrat-influenced foreign policy. After listening to the Messiah tell us all how the world will all just get along because of his audaciousness, we get the deeply profound musings of Russ Feingold on the few penstrokes he needs to unscrew Pakistan. Heh.

"The historic, relatively peaceful parliamentary elections in Pakistan have ushered in a new opportunity to build strong institutions that can bolster and build a strong democracy, address the increasing insecurity throughout the country in a balanced manner, and ensure that our assistance is consistent with the needs of the people of Pakistan -- rather than with a president who has been rejected by Pakistan's voters and who has increasingly repressed political space and undermined democracy," U.S. Sen. "We must seize this opportunity to reverse decades of failed, ineffective policies with various Pakistani leaders. We can do this by promoting and supporting the rule of law and by seeking to eliminate corruption, poor governance, endemic poverty, and historic marginalization. We should help ensure that restrictions on basic freedoms and political rights are permanently reversed, all while working with the Pakistani government to counter the terrorist threats that fester and grow in Pakistan and the border region."

The historic, relatively peaceful elections, FFS Russ the leading candidate of the party that eventually won was subjected to continued assassination attempts until they finally killed her. Yeah, relatively peaceful sure. Skip to his second paragraph and see him make the world a better place with some lame platitudes. He will eliminate corruption in a region that has nothing else, establish quality government (Hope he's got a better model than the Senate), Eliminate poverty by making all dirt scrabble tribesmen union shop stewards at $42.50/ hr, eliminate the marginalization of the female population by sending Dr. Phil and Oprah, and ensure that all Pakistanis live free, liberal, progressive lives. WOW! should be a cakewalk. Oh and he will also counter the terrorist threat at the same time. Bravo Russ, well done.

The nice thing for Dems dreamers like Feingold and Obama is that they operate in a vacuum. No other players get to affect the game and all their cunning plans come to fruition due to their total righteousness. I hate to mix my puppet and cartoon metaphors, but what Ultra-Maroons. The world does not instantly become a better place just because sweet, loving, good-hearted chumps like Feingold and Obama want it to. Spare me from the transcendent visions of pipe dreamers like these and deliver us a Maverick to confound our enemies.
