The Super Bowl and Super Tuesday

Posted By Blackfive

The Super Bowl was one of the most memorable in a long, long time.  Two things stuck in my head about the game - (1) Eli Manning breaking that tackle and not ever giving up was incredible and (2) Randy Moss, who, IMHO,  is the greatest receiver of all time, was a complete ass by bragging about a touchdown when the defender fell.  I understand the need to do the "in-your-face bragging rights dance" if he had faked the defender out or caused his fall by his abilities, but that ain't what happened.  He got lucky - the guy slipped.  Being lucky doesn't equal bragging rights.   I was disappointed by his performance in the game and his behavior after his touchdown.

You stay classy, Randy Moss.

And it's Super Tuesday here in Illinois.  I voted Republican and it was difficult not to punch in for Fred (still on the ballot).  I wish Duncan Hunter or Fred Thompson had gotten more traction (although I tracked more with Sam Brownback on Jimbo's polling questions).   I liked their honesty.

Get out there and vote.

Update: Deroy Murdock has a post about Mitt Romney's experiences with Viet Nam:

...During CNN’s January 30 debate from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Romney said, “one of the two great regrets I have in life is I didn’t serve in the military. I’d love to have.” This echoes what he told the Boston Globe last June 24. “I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there and in some ways it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam.”...

Go here to see what Deroy found out about Romney's desire to serve.  I don't think that "longing" was involved...
