OK, This One Confuses Me. Practice Your Intelligence Skills People!

This article catches my eye for what is left unsaid. The article discusses why Russian arms sales to China are falling off. (Poor equipment, dealing with China's enemies equally, blah, blah, blah...) The question I have is why China needs to buy their gear from Russia at all? After all, they seem to do fine at making TVs, Computers, military munitions and other hardware and software items on their own.

So the REAL question raised here is why China has to buy their gear from foreigners, and if they can't do it themselves, how big a threat are they to Taiwan? And us? It's been a while (years) since I was able to read intel about Chinese military events, so I'm pretty much in the dark here. I have my opinions, but that's it.

Anybody wanna comment?
