More Berkeley Updates...

Posted By Deebow

Been following this and found out some more that might be of interest to all...

Senator Demint, as you know, will be introducing legislation to take away the 2 million dollars in earmarks for the City of Berkeley for their nefarious actions in regards to the Marine recruiters in Berkeley.  His article is over at Human Events and is a good read and he is direct and to the point...

Actions have consequences. When the Berkeley City Council decided to insult the Marines in a time of war, it was a $2 million decision. Especially in a time of war, we cannot just allow cities to play insulting games at our troops' expense while continuing to shower them with congressional favors.

It also seems that even the uber-libtards over at the SF Chronicle Editorial Board think the extra uber-libtards over the bridge in Berzerkeley have lost their minds... (h/t MM)

Berkeley’s leaders have taken the worthy notion of political protest and shoved it over the cliff. While playing up arguments of free speech and organized protest, the council has loaded the deck with insulting language that denigrates the military and embarrasses the anti-war cause.

And for those looking for a little political activism on any upcoming business trip or family vacation, Move America Forward is planning a protest at the Berkeley City Council meeting on the 12th of this month.

I am going to bet that the Berkeley City Council wants this one back in the worst way....
