Happy Valen-Tine's Day!

Posted By Laughing_Wolf

Let the followers of perpetual outrage seethe and riot, for we truly know the meaning of this day. For today is the day that Valen of blessed memory decreed that the One would clean the tines of all forks so as to not do other things to the girl, er, stay pure for that battle to come. Until such time as the One comes, each of us is to take this day and clean the tines in Valen's name.

To each of you, a Happy Valentine's Day! May it be filled with love, laughter, friendship, and as much impure and unchaste as you feel comfortable with. *VBEG*

Heh - I forwarded this off to my wife. We recently rented the whole series, plus the movies, and re-watched them, and introduced my daughter to the fun of B-5

Can I groan at a Babylon 5 joke?? I think that made Delenn's hair fall out!

Now I'm gonna need to go rent the series....I haven't seen B 5 in a long time. My kids are just the right age to get into it too.....

When I first read that I was thinking, "No way that's the Valen he's talking about." Glad to see I was wrong.

When you're re-watching the series, make sure you (re-)watch the pilot episode as well. There's a couple things you'll catch that you wouldn't have caught the first time around:

* Notice the words with which Kosh greets Sinclair.

* Pay close attention to the bridge officers. One of them will have a familiar face. (The actor was later given a different role on the show. There was a year and a half between the pilot and the main show, after all.)

Interesting, no?

Dang Robert, now ya got me thinkin'....

Be comforted that there are many many many many B5 fans out there who get it. Our whole family has bought the series and the movies and has watched and re-watched them many many many times.

These are quotes from my youngest (17 years) daughter's Facebook:

"There is always hope. Only because it's the one thing that no one has figured out how to kill yet. " - Galen, technomage 'Babylon 5: Crusades'

"I feel like I'm being nibbled to death by cats!" - Londo Mollari of the Centauri Republic (Babylon 5)

"Understanding is a three-edged sword" - Kosh (Babylon 5)

Another generation brought up right. :D
