You know I honestly dont understand this site's ridiculous skepticism toward's Global Warming. OH so there is alot of snow in Idaho and Wisconsin? WELL OF FRIGGIN COURSE there will be alot of snow there. Those are vety cold states. Just because there is Global Warming, doesn't mean there still cannot be snow anywhere. The FACT is that worldwide temperature readings CLEARLY show temperatures dropping consistantly on the whole worldwide. This doesn't mean that they are dropping so rapidly that snow is impossible, but it would be foolish to deny that Global Warming is happening. The states and figures prove it, not that the conservative crowd really acknowledges the science much regardless. As an independent living in NEW YORK (which has been much warmer in recent years than it used to be) I dont understand why you guys are so critical and doubtful of Global Warming.

people seem to think that the presence of SNOW somehow refutes global warming. Snow is a form of precipitation not an indication of extreme cold. In fact it seldom snows when the temperature becomes VERY cold. At exceptionally low temperatures the air can not hold any moisture.
This is the reason that Antarctica is the most arid continent and the interior is a dessert, much like northern Alaska (the most common definition of a dessert is less than 10" of water falls in one year)
Yes NYC hit 64F today about 30F warmer than an average for Feb.
The reason that the site is anti global warming is that ALL of the oppositions beliefs must be considered false/silly/treasonous. Admitting any one point, may bring some disbelief to other positions.

Rogue Leader & John Ryan:
The Globe is always either warming or cooling. So what?

Hmmm. January sets record cold across the globe. There are some very interesting notes out there on the solar cycle and its effect on climate (as opposed to weather); a significant number of climatologists don't back global warming or man-made climate change; and, even some who's work is cited by the Goreacle say he's taken it out of context/gotten it wrong. I'd say there is cause to be a touch skeptical. If one truly believes in the scientific method, one MUST be skeptical as no hypothesis or conclusion can be considered as true unless challenged and proven; and, one must continue to test to verify and note if things have changed.

Let me inform you of what is floating about in the heads of many who accept the man-made global warming narrative:
"Even if we are wrong about this, it will still bring about good things".
Things like ...
... the misappropriation of wealth to tilt at environmental windmills, to make some feel virtuous without applying virtue, and others more wealthy and/or powerful without having to actually deliver value to others to do so ...
... wealth redistribution on a mass scale, through selective application of restrictive environmental regulations ...
... the quashing of "corporate power", including the ability to innovate and produce solutions that serve the economic needs of man while still protecting the environment from REAL threats, as opposed to parts-per-billion probabilities ...
... the rise of the activists, legalists, and bureaucrats into higher levels of power ... levels that are not subject to the tight-and-fast feedback of the marketplace, but instead slowly and sluggishly respond at best to correct their own errors.
Rogue and Ryan ... we see right through y'all.
While the evidence is STILL less than conclusive, the man-made global warming narrative is being rammed down our throats because -- true or not -- it its adoption is a convenient vehicle to impose the Leftist agenda ... and a win-win for those who disdain the liberty to pursue happiness outside their narrow definitions of acceptability.
We are not trying to suppress the truth here.
We are exposing it ... and you don't like it.
Deal with it.
