Supporting The Troops: Doing It Right

Last weekend, I had the honor and privilege of being the guest of Patti Patton-Bader in New York City for some meetings and events. One of those events was a showcase of how you show support, from both a corporate and individual perspective. What follows below is video and photos of the event, and I ask you to please read on:
Held at the water terminal, the event lasted most of the day and invited the public not just to partake of free coffee/latte and hot chocolate, but to send their thoughts and wishes to the troops overseas. The drinks, and a free shuttle/trolly service for shoppers, was provided by Dunkin Donuts. The cards, which are also being made available at Dunkin Donuts locations nationwide (check with your local franchise to see if they are participating), are being provided by Prudent Publishing's GalleryCollection.com. In addition, the Prudent Publishing/GalleryCollection.com has provided funding for three Valour-IT laptops. Stay tuned tomorrow for more news too.
Nor did Dunkin Donuts stop with just drinks and a chance to sign a card. Pull up a chair and watch as Rachael Ray unveils a rather weighty donation to go to the troops through Soldier's Angels.
The public, young and old, responded and below are just a few shots from my time at the event. It was a delight to see the people who came in and took the time to send a message -- or several -- to the troops. This is how you do it. Individuals chose to take part on many levels, and as a result a lot of cheer is outbound.

UPDATE: Here's a link to another video report from the event. While it doesn't give Soldier's Angels the attention I think it deserves *G*, and doesn't even mention GalleryCollection.com, it is a good video and does get a good message across.
FIXED NOW. Thanks for the heads-up in the comments. LW

You said "Here's a Link"...I don't see one. Am I reading something from another site or are we supposed to go to Soldiers' Angels website and the gallery?

LW, Missed meeting you at the SA gathering on that Sunday (for brunch). Rich L. made French toast that was out of this world. We thanked HL for his contribution to your embed.

Kg2v, no, they are not. :) I enjoy visiting, always have a good time and seem to meet some nice and interesting people.
dellbabe68, I really did want to be there but was glad I listened when Col. Riley said that we were leaving -- interesting getting to the airport, much less out; and, one of the bumpiest plane rides I've ever had. The latter includes the time I flew into a thunderstorm that popped up after I had taken off...
