OK I love the YouTube debate
I have hated every debate I can ever remember watching, except this one.
This is a brawl, Anderson Cooper is no longer in charge, if he ever was. Guiliani and Romney are throwing bombs, Thompson calls them both wankers, and they let the YouTube questioners smack back. Woo Hoo.
I love seeing all the polished, practiced pols thrown completely off guard. More, more more.
Ron Paul admits he loves the nuttahs.
Johnny McCain takes an unscheduled shot at Ron Paul's Iraq stance, let 'em win.

The Debate turned out better than I thought it would be.
One of my favorite responses was when Cooper asked Duncan Hunter..how do repair our image in the Muslim World?
Hunter: "Cooper, Cooper, very simply, to the critics of America I would say this. When you were faced with disease and starvation, the Americans brought food and medicine. When you had earthquakes and tsunamis and floods, the Americans came and helped you. And when you were threatened from outside, the Americans left the safety of their own homes to come and defend you.
I will never apologize for the United States of America."
Amen!

Hm. I see Ron Paul again says his biggest contributors are the military. Didn't GH look into that and find it was 20 contributions of 1,000 each, and that 20,000 was simply the largest bundle he got? That's far from being able to say he's the military's endorsement.

That was the first one worth watching, but Cooper couldn't lead silent prayer.

The actual numbers of imilitary ndividuals who contributed to ANY campaign are rather small
Individuals Total Dollars
#1 Obama 44 27,000
#2 Paul 23 19,300
#3 McCain 32 18,500
In 2002 Republicans received about 75% of all contributions
This year that figure has dropped to about 60%
