Veteran Defends the Colors

Posted By Mr Wolf

If I had Jimbo's skills I probably could have posted this faster... :)

Things are heating up in Reno.....

Mexican_over_american_flag From KNRV in Reno, via CNN's site, comes this story of a veteran who cuts down a shop keepers flags in Reno.  Seems that the idiot decided to fly the Mexican flag over the American flag 'in support of the local populace..', according to the KNRV interview.

See the entire video HERE...

Its interesting that this guy didn't get hurt doing it, but his comments are priceless...

Of note are some of the commenters who state:

...am a white American male and had no idea that it is illegal to fly a flag from another country above ours.

That's a sorry state of affairs when US citizens don't know flag etiquette any longer.  I once personally tried to assist a McDonald's employee who was putting up a flag, who bundled up the US flag, threw it on the ground, and proceeded to get the lanyards on the pole ready for it.  I politely went up and reminded the person that it was EXTREMELY disrespectful to do it that way.  She was quite surprised, but thankful.

A sorry, sorry state of affairs in Reno...
