A Hasty Air Assault to Nab High Value Targets
On July 1st, 2007, at approximately 1430 hours, soldiers air assaulted into a high value target compound to capture key insurgents. Lighthorse 13 and Lighthorse 21 of the 3rd Aviation Brigade provide over watch (air support and security). I thought that this would give you a good idea of how these operations occur (even hasty ones like this).
