Yesterday on MNF-Iraq I saw a Video-Podcast about an Airdrop into Baquba. The soldiers drop in there all alone without armored vehicles. I believe that is a great way to go about. Small units always on the move.

this province MUST be cleared of AQ and other foreign fighters. i haven't read or heard of any heavy armor being used, and i guess its not as bad as Fallujah. above an airdrop was mentioned. are we talking about a small team dropping in by parachute, or equipment? i am taking it to mean it was a small team of Spec. Ops., that move fast, travel lite, and are heavily armed. they must have a mission/objective, and it could be a number of different outfits. LRSD has a couple ways of insertions, dropping out of a helo/plane is 1 of the ways. the method of insertion is usually dictated by the location, terrain and such. this sounds more like a JSOC op. move fast, travel lite, and remain hidden till nite. sounds good to me.
