Not much to CAIR about

Posted By Uncle Jimbo

In addition to empty rhetoric it seems the extremist apologists at CAIR have empty member rolls as well.

h/t Mark Steyn who is forming his own Muslim lobbying group. Hot Air is on the case as well.

Membership in the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has declined more than 90 percent since the 2001 terrorist attacks, according to tax documents obtained by The Washington Times.
The number of reported members spiraled down from more than 29,000 in 2000 to fewer than 1,700 in 2006. As a result, the Muslim rights group's annual income from dues dropped from $732,765 in 2000, when yearly dues cost $25, to $58,750 last year, when the group charged $35.
The organization instead is relying on about two dozen donors a year to contribute the majority of the money for CAIR's budget, which reached nearly $3 million last year

"We are proud that our grass-roots support in the American Muslim community has allowed CAIR to grow from having eight chapters and offices in 2001 to having 33 today," Mr. Ahmed said.

This is the collection of tools bought and paid for by the Muslim Brotherhood and Saudi Princes who pop up every time another Muslim amped up on Allah gets his jihad on. A CAIR mouthpiece will appear on TV stating that this most recent act of violence by a member of the religion of peace in the name of his God was not actually religious violence. They are also pervasive when we happen to infiltrate a group of peaceful, law-abiding Muslims just trying to blow off steam and then we use their statements about jihad and slaughtering infidels for the greater glory of Allah to paint them as terrorists. Not to mention the overwhelming number of anti-Muslim backlash attacks they constantly warn about, yet never seem to materialize.

CAIR is a propaganda arm and apologist for the lovely folks hell bent on recreating that paradise on earth known as the Caliphate. Their approach is the classic "camels nose under the tent" where they look to force greater and greater acceptance of the rituals and requirements of Islam. Every time they can get a public pool to hold Muslim only segregated swim times, or convince a school to dress a bunch of kids up in potato sacks to show how liberated Muslim women are, the camel gets a little further into the tent. The problem is that we as a culture want to be respectful of their religion, but their religion is absolutely not respectful of our culture. We have always prided ourselves on religious tolerance in America, and as long as your religion is a private matter between you, your co-believers and your God we have pretty much let everybody slide.

But when your religion begins imposing your religious prejudices on others, like say cab drivers refusing to transport passengers with alcohol or dogs, you have crossed the line. CAIR's main function has always been to try and push that line toward Sharia and now that they have been unmasked as a facade they should no longer be treated as representative of Muslims in America. This would actually be a net plus for US Muslims as the idea that CAIR and it's ridiculous discrimination claims represent their views has harmed overall impressions of these fellow citizens.

If the America CAIR tries to invent actually existed, wouldn't their membership be going up? Wouldn't Muslims be flocking to CAIR to sign up and resist the demonization of all Muslims and their persecution by the haters in this country? And yet the opposite happens, hmmmm.

These frauds have finally been exposed. I don't watch the MSM, but has this been getting the exposure it deserves?

I'm afraid I may already know the answer.

As a Muslim living in the States, I really didn't think that CAIR represented me, my beliefs or even tried to improve anything in my life. They were acting as if they were in the Middle East, and only appeared when there was some non sense issue to be handled. The simplest example of how lame CAIR really is, is all the fuss they made about the Hadji Girl video. How come they are not rushing to make statements about the fighting between the Palestinians in Gaza right now, or donating money for rebuilding Iraq. They are nothing but a waste of oxygen...

Well said Uncle J. The more the light shines on this racist, terrorist supporting group the better of we ALL are. If those who practice the religion of intolerance don't like the values of America, move to a country which aligns itself with your belief system, life Iran. We don't need anymore religious bigots in this country.

So they have almost the same number of chapters, 33, as avg. members per state, 34?

Keep up the good work.

Good Post J. Time to shine the light in the dark corners. Way to go.

Does the 1,700 members also include the reincarnated muslim brotherns in our prison system?HHMMM!Must be they got reborn into a more user friendly religion after they were parolled, that is since 911!I heard the pretty colored beenies were good for sighting in!!So I heard..Refermans demuslimification seminar coming to a garage near you.Your moneys no good just bring ammo and 30 round clips prefered!Anybody know if ammo is tax deductable?I think I spent to much time today on that 120 degree concrete flightline. These thoughts aimed at those religious bigots wanting to bring harm to our country, and americans. All else excuse my rantings. Semper Fi

I have always favored public executions, Jimbo, for a reason. And this is one of them. Just one however.

I remember after 9/11(I was in the Manhattan that day, GOD BLESS ALL that lost life that day and those that survived !) that this guy (last name was Hooper? he was American white) was very aggressive on the news shows. I didn't like that. Know that CAIR is a org. Are they allowed to take that money from the 26 donors without reporting their names?. Is that legal? I think they should be classified as a corp. to see where they monies are from
