The fight in Afghanistan
From a friend and NCO in Afghanistan, comes this email. His team has had to fight and kill more than a few Al Qaeda trained Taliban insurgents.
...We have many Taliban acronyms; AGE, ACM, or OMF. I just call them DAI's (Dumb-Ass Insurgents). The men that are convincing these men to come here to fight me and the government forces of Afghanistan should be ashamed of what they are doing. The death of the young men we kill rests directly on the shoulders of these evil men and that alone should be enough to reserve the demented leaders of their misguided cause a room in Hell. They poison them against the cause of freedom for the people of Afghanistan. I just don't get it. I suppose I never will.
Because I get the news from all over the world here on my firebase, I see that, once more, the successes of what we are doing (establishing the government, helping the people when we can etc.) escapes the Mainstream Media and the loonies from places like MoveOn.org and Daily Kos. I am in touch with people from USAID and some other NGOs who are attempting to build a road in our area that would link one of the towns in our area that is a Taliban stronghold to the district center and the center of the commerce in our area. I have gotten a bid from a contractor, who we know in the area, and when the new guys get here, they will get to see the project through.
Evidently, it also eludes the likes of Nancy Pelosi and John Murtha, who seem to think the "real" war on terror is only here in Afghanistan. I've got a news flash for those two morons; the War on Terror is wherever Al-Qaeda is or the Taliban hang out. When they try to move against American interests, we are going to be there waiting for them...
There's a lot more but I'm waiting for permission to post the rest.

Matt has an excerpt from a buddy in Afghanistan up over at Blackfive today, and in that excerpt this NCO touches on, what I think, ought to be the number one talking point in this War on Terror. Sad to say that it is... [Read More]

Thanks to the soldier who's over in Afghanistan risking his life and limb so that idiots like Pelosi and Murtha can shoot their unpatriotic mouths off! I also want to thank this troop for calling out moveon.org and that idiot dailykos. they have most of the Idiotic side of America convinced that they are on the side of the troops. DEV

Murtha moved way beyond shitbird some years back and is out in the assteroid belt someplace. Islamists and the American Left have teamed up, the useful idiots are here Stateside.
Sane and Democracy loving American everywhere know the fight, know the enemey, and support the guys doing the job that has to be done.
Sometimes I wonder but I know every day is a day closer to victory against Sand Nazi terror thanks to troops like your NCO buddy.

I keep coming back to thinking that the Dems believe everyone can be bought (people always relate to their own value systems), but the Al Queerda people cannot be bought. They don't care what happens to them on Earth, they only want to please Allah. Hell, many of them probably can't wait to die. No sex, no music, internet, dancing, or girlie action for satisfaction. No movies, comfortable clothes or toilet paper, Once a year their festival involves having them crawl along the ground like bugs smacking themselves over the head with machetes because Mohammed's grandson Ali took 10 guys to a 1000 man fight and get wiped out.
I have to think I'd be susceptible to the idea of suicide. Especially for the one and only chance in my life to be a hero/martyr.
The Dems don't get it nor will they ever. The vast majority of them are Sociopaths, which means they don't even have the capacity to get it.
PS - Jimmy Carter might want to revisit his stats on leadership of the USA before he decides who the worst president ever was.
Plus day 1 he says Bush is the worst president in history and day 2 says 'He wasn't talking about anyone in particular." wtf...............
How do these people even get more than their moms to vote for them.

I thought it was funny that folks like Matt started off being moderate and respectful towards the Murth. Not funny in a ha ha sort of way, but funny in a rather ironic amused manner.
Because it is that that is the real difference between the Left and the Right. Wisdom, the knowledge that you can make mistakes, so one should tread carefully for we are not Gods and empowered with omniscience. The Left thinks they got everything out as the absolute truth, so why hesitate towards anyone? This gives the Left a straight line edge almost akin to fanaticism in a way. No doubt at all. Powerful, if stupid.
Just cause you are a believer, doesn't mean you believe in the right things or even what you believe is true.

My deepest gratitude and appreciation go to your NCO friend! His comments were excellent. I especially liked this statement: "When they try to move against American interests, we are going to be there waiting for them..."
This is why I read Blackfive every, single day. I don't say it often enough, but I appreciate all that you and all the Blackfive "Authors" do to keep us informed. You are the best!

Glad to see our savvy troops understand where these anti-morale messages are coming from. (And it's not "we the people".)
Still, it's just one battle, and Congress' fight to pull the rug out from under our soldiers will go on throughout the year.

Thanks for sharing the info! Our forces continue to inspire and amaze me every single day.
To our troops: Rock on! Keep fighting the good fight! Don't listen to the mainstream media! We KNOW why you're there and we are behind you!
Keep it real, Git r' done, and bring it on home!
We love you!
