I've never been to the Huff Po wonder what it's like?

Posted By Uncle Jimbo

I've never done this before, but I can't imagine it's fatal. Here is a link to the Huffington Post, and I'm going to agree with the writer. Once I wrapped my squash around that cognitive dissonance I feel kinda' warm and fuzzy, better watch that.

Us writers here at the 5 got a message today from an exec at the Huff Po pointing out a piece by Paul Rieckhoff, head of Iraq Afghanistan Vets of America (IAVA). He was pointing out the absurdity of $3 million of bonuses going to VA leaders at a time when I don't know anyone trumpeting the successes of the VA or the treatment our troops get overall. It was just a poorly thought out set of events and I think his take is about right on. I realize all the arguments about retention, competition with industry etc. I just think overall it was another tone deaf move by the administration.

Mr. Rieckhoff's previous bit was about the Tillman/Lynch imbroglio which I covered on CNN,  and much to my continued shame not only CNN's Skeptical Eyebrow but Mr. Reickhoff is on board with me.

So to help the Huff Po execs throw some red meat to the hordes of unhinged anti-war types how 'bout this Mr. R.

Let's go tet a tet on the surge v. the withdrawal. I will take the position in favor of the surge, unless............didn't think so. Hey we can even do a webcam debate or better if you get them to start throwin' that Huff Po funding around. Tell Arianna to call me. Hey she's single right?

But let's do it Paul, you and me on the single most important topic to America today. Should we stay or should we go?
