508th PIR Provides Security for Dey Yak Shura

Two snipers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, provide overwatch security for the locals during a Shura, or town meeting, in Dey Yak, Afghanistan.  Photographer for all photos in this post: Pfc. Spc. Brad Meetze, a team leader in Company A, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, follows escalation of force procedures and fires a warning shot at a suspicious motorcyclist who ignored boundary markers during a Shura, or town meeting, in Dey Yak, Afghanistan.
