Plame tells Congress why she and Joe outed her
If Valerie Plame was a covert operative when she became all the rage in DC then she was horrendously negligent in maintaining her cover. Both she and her superiors at CIA had an obligation to protect it and pushing her husband into a politically volatile struggle hardly qualifies as staying out of the fray. I detailed this in a lakeside rant previously.
Now she is having her moment in front of Congress to whine about the fact that once she and Joe jumped in the spotlight it was now no more fun to be a secret squirrel. Bingo Val, you can't have your cake and eat it Mademoiselle. If you and Joe wanted to be political operatives fighting the Bush crime family, have at it. But don't come whining back when some of the shite your hubby slung splatters on you.
