How small town America treats it's vets
UPDATE: Reader MBV sends:
Oh come one now, give the Portland area a break...or at least PARTS of it. ;-)
Here are some examples of some flag tributes that have taken place in and around Portland over the past few years.Gresham, Oregon (where I live - North East part of Portland)
Beautiful diplays, especially on clear, sunny days with Mount Hood in the background!
So it's just Portland proper that is infested (ha). Thanks for the links.
This came from a reader and is a perfect contrast to the clown car-emptying that happened last weekend in DC.
In contrast to how those in Oregon, Milwaukee, Washington, D.C. and
elsewhere treat their veterans or what they think of soldiers, I hope
you would consider seeing how a small town in North Dakota treats
their veterans.
377 casket flags flown on Memorial Day.
Please help spread the word on what small town America thinks of those
who are serving our country.
The flags have been donated by folks who lost a loved one and wanted the flag from their casket to stand for something more than just their own private grief and honor. Go read the piece feel a little better about our country.
