A couple things
Reader Econ-Scott reminds on an important bit of conniving between Austria' Steyr Mannlicher and Iran
Uncle Jimbo :
Going OT --
I wonder about the Executives of Steyr-Mannlicher and their two timing beaurocrats in Vienna that allowed this sale of 800 .50 cal rifles to Iran.
Good point and how did these guns magically start migrating to Iraq?
When I wrote about Harvard's new war historian president, I asked if anyone had access to the whole article as The Nation's piece had only a bit. I thought I might be treating her unfairly. Reader and blogger Sean Lawson excerpts a good bit more and does some excellent analysis of Madame Faust. No apologies necessary apparently
