AW has up a link today to this video of the peaceful anti-war demonstrators put up by GunnNutt at Semper Gratus!. Yes, those peaceful, thoughtful, protestors who were, according to Billy Arkin, focused not on the troops but on the President and policy issues. Yes, they support the troops. Feh.

And while Matt has taken Arkin down here and here ; and, Jimbo has done his usual outstanding jobs here, here, and here, please allow this civilian to say something since apparently in Arkin's world those serving and veterans are not allowed to respond as they might be attempting to influence civilian policy.

In more than twenty years of professional activities, if there is any analyst, pundit, or commentator covering a specialty area that has displayed as obscene and abysmal ignorance of the subject area of their alleged expertise, I have failed to recall them. While one could be tempted to believe that Billy is trying to work his way through the list of logical fallacies, it would appear that he has limited said exercise to just a few of the major ones, including the use of laughably constructed strawmen in his responses. Indeed, outside of the orginal piece of mental masturbation that started it all, he seems to have largely stuck to poor strawmen; and, to either frantic attempts to misdirect, rewrite history, or change basic dictionary meanings and related connotations to declare that his words meant entirely something else. Take your pick of any or all of the last clause.

If the behavior in this clip is the studied, focused, and supportive mode of the anti-war crowd as claimed by Billy and others, then it is clear that they are not anti-war but are actively anti-military, anti-Constitution, and for the enemy.
