The Things they (Paratroopers) Carry...
Spc. Matthew Plumlee's St. Michael's medallion, which was given to him by a chaplain who told him St. Michael was the patron saint of paratroopers. Spc. Benjamin West of Tempe, Ariz., an infantryman with D Co, 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, fits a piece of colored cloth embroidered with the Star of David into the flap of his body armor.
