Support that is appreciated
While visiting the Boat Show in Denver last night (jeez, do they do this the same weekend everywhere?) I ran across this group, headed by Bob Lehmiller. His heartfelt story of Mike Lehmiller, combined with his strong devotion and support of those who serve, was an inspiration. More after the jump...
Bob's group had on display several of the vehicles they have had done to show their support of Mike and the troops that serve. Mike was KIA in Afghanistan on Aug. 21, 2005 while serving with the 173d Airborne. His story can be found here.
One of the vehicles on display was the Mustang the Mike ordered shortly before he came home on leave. Sadly, Mike never saw the car, and Bob has dedicated and decorated it in his memory. Its a fantastic display and tribute to Mike and very moving.
The other example was the truck used to pull a trailer for the car and other display items. It was a shockingly well-done vehicle, with the scheme and decals grabbing your attention immediately. Not even the recruiting vehicles (Hummers included!) could match this. Bob didn't have the trailer on display, but if it's anything like the truck...
Bless you, Bob, and we feel for you and your loss. I appreciate such fantastic support, and thank you!!!
I'll have more on this soon...
