Time for some North Korean skeet shootin'

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States has moved its ground-based interceptor missile defense system from test mode to operational amid concerns over an expected North Korean missile launch, a U.S. defense official said on Tuesday.

Please, pretty please can we? I can't think of a more effective way to show the world we aren't kidding about this whole nukes thing, than by knocking one of Kim Jong-Il's evil toys into the drink. We have spent oodles of money on missile defense and this is the exact reason why. We may not be able to stop the little nuttah from building these things, but when he goes to test them why not shoot them down?

It would definitely change the dynamic with our ronery little friend and remind him not to shake pointy sticks at people. It would throw a wicked judo move on the Mullahs as they couldn't be sure we didn't have a little something for them.

Lockheed Martin has a ship-borne system the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense and I think we ought to park as many of them as we can get just outside NK waters and volley fire if they decide to put anything in the air. We know where it would be coming from and likely going to, we damn sure ought to be able to make this happen, right?
