Burning in Hell Right Now...

Posted By Froggy

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is currently backstroking in The Lake of Fire.  Good riddance, bitch!  Few details at this point, I just caught it on a Fox News Alert at 0030 PST 8 June 2006.  Wake up with a smile America, Zarqawi ate a 500lb bomb in Baquba yesterday and this is confirmed

0049 General Casey is now confirming that Zarqawi is dead and identified by fingerprints and facial recognition.  Ding Dong the witch is dead.  HOOYAH!!!

Damn skippy. Good job to all those in uniform, and I'll toast one today to those who had a part in the bastard's demise. ;-)

Fan-freakin'-tastic news!!! Hope the intel is good on this one; sounds like it.

A long overdue and well deserved killing. Good riddance.

Just broke up a division VTC to break the CNN report...smiles all around!

Which of the ordinary citizens of Baquba turne dhim in? 25 million dollar reward?

Happy the SOB is dead and is screaming in hell about not being in paradise with his 72 virgins!

I propose we organize an ad-hoc fund to buy multiple rounds of drinks for our guys who accomplished this -- the pilots, the controllers, spotters, intel guys. Granted, all our guys deserve many rounds on us, but this is a special occasion....

We saw it come over Fox News in the headquarters right before lunch. Woo Hoo!
Hope this changes things, but I'm tempering my optimism. It's rough over here right now.

My thoughts and prayers goes out to the damn fine Servicemembers who aim ran true. Clearly, the thought of al-Zarqawi is burning in hell makes my year!

I do believe I have a woody!

Oh my God I cannot imagine how GREAT the soldiers responsible feel. They got the big guy in Iraq, the guy who was responsible for hundred of deaths -- civilian and military.

I wish I could buy those men and women a round of drinks. Or two. Or three.

DING DONG ZARQAWI'S DEAD!

My local liberal dumbass newsradio station talked about this saying that Zarqawi and seven OTHER VICTIMS were killed in the airstrike. They do not have a clue. Carter started this war, not W. It has been going on for years!

What WONDERFUL news to wake up to!!!

Michelle Malkin notes that gas prices fell upon the announcement and the leftists/liberals area already at work downplaying this: http://michellemalkin.com/archives/005351.htm

Media and Democrats downplay the significance of this in 5,4,3...

'The Fastest Squirrel''s post, above, was sadly prescient.

I've already seen liberal twits writing to claim that 'AQ wanted Zarqawi dead, so we've only managed to do their dirty work for them, and as a result his enraged followers will now redouble their efforts to target hapless US troops in Iraq, blah blah blah...'

I really do think the Left wants us to lose in Iraq, and will do just about anything to accomplish that goal.

Damn, I have not felt this elated over news from the combat zone since they found Saddam in his hole! This is an important victory for the Coalition and for the U.S. in Iraq. The #1 mouthpiece of the "freedom fighting" Islamist network, is now in a body bag! We already know the insurgency has been greatly demoralized and damaged by our having killed or captured numerous underbosses, but to have bagged the Don himself?

Bada Bing Bada BOOM! Only thing that would make me feel better than this would be if they reported our having killed or captured bin Laden somewhere in the sticks of Afghanistan or Pakistan; assuming Binny is even alive, which some say is doubtful.

Thanks for this news alert! Gonna be smiling as I head to work today! HOOAH!

Heard in the fiery netherworld:

"Welcome to Hell, boy. Now your ass is mine. You look somewhat surprised. Did you think, son, after what you've done the Lord would let you slide? Welcome to Hell, your new home. You did the crime, now you'll do the time, right where you belong..... And I don't know what you've been told but there ain't no virgins here."

Satan

Out.

This news was a great wake-up message.

I don't care who else wanted him dead...Z is dead, good.

To the crew who did the deed, BRAVO ZULU.

Pity it was so quick. SOB and his buddies (including, according to some reports Al-Rachman) should have had to go out like Uday & Qusay...

I woke up with a bad cold this morning, but reading this on the Yahoo news alert really lifted my spirits.

It is a good day for righteousness.

God bless the good men of the United States Armed Forces who participated in and contributed to this victory. Job well done.

It's 7AM here, but I'm going to crack open a cold beer for this one...

Good riddance... couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

YESSSSSSS

Save a seat in the oven for Osama...

Just a simple Thank You to all those who helped make this happen.

Well it's good news. This f******g guy was a piece of shit. I don't really think it's going to change much however. I am begining to really dislike some fellow posters here however. They seem to have the attitude unless you support the worst C-in-C since Carter that means you want the terrorists to win. That is simply not true. But I just have a feeling in the short term violence will increase as a revenge factor. Which sucks basically. But you know people were saying getting Saddam was a great success................ Folks are still getting fucked up over there and it ain't going change for some time. Still glad he is in a place hotter than Iraq.

My wife (bless her left-leaning soul) says to me this morning "Yeah, but what about the next guy who steps up to fill his shoes?"

I told her "Yeah, there will probably be one of those guys. But we've spent a couple years rolling up their organization from the bottom, and then one day *bam* we shack a couple 500 pounders thru the roof of the leader's latest rat hole, proving that you're pretty much not safe whether you're the HMFIC or Little Abdul Know-Nothing scratching out a little cat hole in the desert. That alone will make the next guy think twice about stepping up to the plate."

I mean, whats to say that we don't have eyeballs on all these yo-yos, and that's what led us to the big-cheese? If so, the mid- and upper-level guys are only alive out of convenience: their ability to lead us to the headshed is more of more worth to us, for now, than the visual of their smoking corpse...

T'would make a nice Christmas present: Video of Osama being led down the mountain in zip cuffs, chained to Mullah Omar.

Ramesh on CNN: This is a moment that has...momentum.

Is it so wrong to wallow in victory for a couple of minutes before pressing ahead? It's amusing to see administration opponents flail, almost in a panic, to pour cold water on this lest morale go too high. "Don't feel too good, the killings will continue, Zarqawi wasn't that central to anything, etc..."

Apparently there was some help from Jordan, which has felt Zarqawi's ire.
Maybe the regional powers that have to date been passive, will step up to the plate a little more.

It's interesting that the bordering states seem suddently interested in securing their borders with Iraq, now that some of the battle-hardened jihadists are returning to their home countries to carry on their jihad. I've seen some reports on the Saudi's battening down their hatches, and even France is warily watching for returning jihadists.

Watch us dance and shout from the rooftops, celebrate, and blow kisses to our fine troops, Soledad O'Brien! Smells like...victory.

Very good news!!

I read that the Jordanians gave info which lead to this wonderful news.

Next up Osama!

Tommy, thank you for brining up the true start of this war. Jimmy Carter. It was he who let the Shaw into our country. It was he who provoked the hostage crisis, and then caused the fuck-up known as Desert-One. And this foreign policy retard had the gall to insult W's foreign policy? If anyone is to blame, it is Jimmy Carter, but, the reason that these fundimentalists thought that we would be bloodied and then submit, that was all "Slick Willie's" fault. The terrorists looked at how muck of a pussy he was with foreign policy, and they fogured that we would d the same thing, oops, they found out just how wrong they were this morning!

BZ to all pilots and players in this attack -- you guys are awesome. Just showed pilot's video of the two strikes on the building. "You can run, but you can't hide."

Okay, now they're trying to hammer something about a child or small person and woman in the attack, so as to maximize propaganda value against the U.S. led-fight. Kind of would confirm a classic Al Queda human shield tactic, if true. Yup, that's what they do. They're the bad guys, you see.

Seeing the Air Force took him out w/a pair of F-16s.

Tip o' the hat to the USAF from this Navy vet...way to go, guys!

wow about time!!! Terrific news! now for the cynicism: mission accomplished??? guess the troops can finally come home...?? oh but wait, how will we control the oil then??

Excellent news, indeed. I'm working 1,000+ miles from home at the moment. My wife (bless her right-leaning heart - hi NIN) just wrote an email to Fox News and Cc'd me on it. She's marking this occasion with donations to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/) and the Scott Vallely Memorial Fund (http://www.soldiersmemorialfund.org/).

A big round of thanks to everyone Military and Civilian who made this happen in any small way.

Zarqawi may be a martyr, but he's met the most important requirement to achieve that status:

He's dead.

Who's got next?

Adios M.F.....

B2

This is a major victory for the US and IRAQ. The fact that the Jordanians and some of his own people provided intel is significant. The Iraqi people are happy he is dead, the Jordanian people are happy he is dead. Only the left in America are unhappy cause its another indication that they are fucking WRONG!!!!! In your face leftards!!!! GO AIR FORCE!!!!

Perhaps one of you more 'Puter savy folks could take that gun camera film, lay over some audio from The Gap Band, and post it on you tube.....

"You dropped a bomb on me, baby...."

Nice shootin', Zoomies!

Cheers.

I only disagree with Subsunk on one point regarding virgins in hell.

There is at least *one* virgin in hell currently.....now......and he's probably bent over a table screaming "Nanatawai!"

Score 1 for the Zoomies!

FUCKING AY!!!!

Maybe next week we get bin Laden. There has got to be a lot of chatter right now.

HoooooYah, Allah be praised!

lt

Ocassionally we get it right.Just saw on FOX News, some litttle kid, holding up a Bunny Rabbit, and a back pack. Those bastards were holding Bugs Bunny hostage. No doubt about to behead him.Cartoons really piss those people off.Let freedom ring. Good reporting Froggy, you caught that one while I was havin a poco siesta!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Z-man, enjoy your time in Hell, you SOB!

Save a lunch table for Osama, he'll be seeing you soon...

BLAM !!! Got one !!!

Ever see a Golden Eagle hunt a rattlesnake ? The snake never sees it coming. He's a hundred feet in the air, listening to his bones crunching beneath talons, before he even realizes he's dead.

Notch one up for the good guys!

Bugs Bunny? It's worse than I thought. Those bastards.

The news just gets better and better.

Two of his top spies, females both, were killed. His spiritual leader and the sheik behind his support (a Wahhabi) was the tag and the rabbit that drew us to Zman, and that idiot is also dead. He was given up through the sheik by an Iraqi confederate who was tired of what was going on. After BDA (battle damage assessment) and intel exploitation of this and previous intel, 17 raids were accomplished in Baghdad which nabbed a "treasure trove" of further intel. The Jordanian intelligence service supported this strike. And lastly, al Qaeda puts out a press release saying "rejoice in the martyrdom of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi". Can we have the next release over the ritual sepuku and immolation of bin Hidin and old Knothead Zawahiri in sympathy to this twit as well? Or is that asking too much?

I love seeing the number of lines in the comments and elsewhere dedicated to celebration and comparing them to the number throwing cold water on this announcement. You really know who your friends are, and who your enemies are by who celebrates what when an enemy is killed.

Subsunk

PS and Bugs Bunny was seen alive and well on Pismo Beach, surrounded by lots and lots of young rabbit babes. Here's carrot juice in your eye, Bugs.

Re:Bugs Bunny

Apparently, Zarqawi took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

Oh yeah, we also already know the name and some background on who the next likely AQ in Mesopotamia head will be and if it was announced on international news that you were the next target, wouldn't your ass begin to suck some leather out of your LaZBoy recliner as you reach for the remote to hear what the US says about your numbnuts being next in the laser sight?

Tell your wife to rest easy NIN.

Subsunk

By the Way,
While we are wishing for the Death (AKA Martyrdom) of certain prominent AQ figures, lets not forget Commander Ismail.I HAVE A SPECIAL BONE TO PICK WITH THAT ONE!

So far today, I've heard this news from talking head after talking head but none have had the onions to deliver it with the linguistic panache warranted by this joyous occasion.

Nicely done Froggy, you're the Mark Twain of the Milblogs.

Update: Fox is reporting that due extensive burns to Zarqawi's hands and arms, the fingerprints they used for confirmation were actually pulled from his deputy's meat missile. (Confirmed)

Froggy... you're singin' my song. "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" has been ringing in my head since I first heard the news this morning.

WHOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Here's to things happening in 3's..

Hello Zawahiri..See ya soon Bin hasbeenladin.

NO - He ate TWo 500 lbers. Woot. Where's the pictures of Americans dancing in the streets burning pictures of him and waving American Flags...?

Oh and when did we invade Iraq?

US military sees Egyptian militant Abu al-Masri succeeding Zarqawi
06.08.2006, 11:03 AM

BAGHDAD (AFX) - The US military predicted that slain Al-Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu
Musab al-Zarqawi will be succeeded by an Egyptian born lieutenant known as Abu al-Masri.

US forces spokesman Major General William Caldwell said the military has been aware
of Abu al-Masri's movements for some time and believe he first came to Iraq in 2002.

'He may have helped establish the first al-Qaeda cell in the Baghdad area,' said
Caldwell, adding that he has been involved in making roadside bombs and originally
trained in Afghanistan.

Oh yeah. That's basically my slant, too: The next guy to step up will have to look over his shoulder _all_the_time_ (and up, too!) to make sure he's not about to get the "Booyah! Direct hit!" on his grid coordinates. :) To which I say "Good! Serves this bastards right."

Now, one outlet was opining on how A-Z was "shown in the open" on his bloopers reel and that was the US basically daring him to "come out and say more," thus exposing him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the US says "Yeah, we shacked OBL the other day in a cave someplace. We're diggin' his ass out now to confirm it.." or "OBL won't stick his head up 'cuz he's too big of a pussy.." just to provoke a "No, I'm still alive!" message that causes him to raise his profile a lot more. Eventually, he'll slip up and a couple JDAMs will make everybody's day.

We can hope. Sure, there will be someone else to lean in and try to take one for the team, but his ass can get shacked just as well.

Tommy, if your only measure of success is that people aren't getting killed, you will never be 'in the green' in that stat. Yes, there will probably be more violence in the short term. But if the long term outcome is that the insurgency is crippled, then all the better.

And the charge that Al Qaida *wanted* him dead... well, maybe they did since someone turned him in, but "doing their dirty work for them" doesn't make it automatically bad. A person has to ask *why* they were tired of him... and his tactics... and his plans.

Hey... maybe they're getting tired too. Maybe instead of them waiting us out until public opinion against the war pushes us over, we should wait *them* out until their leaders and footsoldiers get tired of dying and leave people alone to get on with their lives and building their country.

Don't be surprised if it takes a few days for anyone to announce that they are taking AZ's place. It's probably the least sought after Job in Iraq about now.

"wow about time!!!"

Lefties should consider this victory done on their behalf as well as in spite of them. I am amazed someone can say "about time!" and think they don't look like a complete moron. If the US military couldn't get it done sooner, there's no one else who could have, and certainly not some utopian theoretic society that trades with shells and beads. Oh, but you guys would have been fine with deadguy still being around, right? You think he was doing the "work of the people."

The footnote to this are the 17 raids this hit kicked off after exploiting the actionable intel from the scene and from developing the situation.

No counter-recon this time!

Good job guys!

Pig Al Zarqawi dropped dead, it's a festive day today.

The reason why Z Man and Saddam got taken ,was cause the US had free reign in Iraq. We don't have free reign in Pakistan, and until Bush gives the orders, I don't think Osama's safe houses would get rolled up.

I wonder just how upset AZ is gonna be when he discovers that 70 virgins is not a very big stockpile. I mean...eternity is a long time! I hope hell has plenty of pineapple.

I trust Osama's days are also numbered, let's hope he will get a bullet through his head as soon as possible.
